Former writer/producer for United Artists. He has written for Stars as such Crystal Gayle, Ronnie Milsap, Anne Murray and many more. He also worked for Dot Records as Professional Manager for Famous Music Publishing. He charted a dozen times as a songwriter on the country charts between 1971-81, including "That's the Way Love Should Be" by Dave & Sugar (co-written by David Gillon & Joe Dougherty). The song hit #7 on the charts (it also had crossover appeal as it hit #45 on the adult contemporary chart).
